AMAZING MAZES
Your assignment is to design a maze in Microsoft Word using the Insert
tab and the Tables and Borders & Shading icons.

Create a folder in your Documents called Word_Activities

Save this assignment in your Word_Activities
folder as: Amazing_Mazes_Yourname

Insert a table: 14
columns, 14 rows. Highlight table and change line spacing to Double spacing

In the grid, type the words Start and Finish (or
End) to create the starting and ending locations.

Choose a theme for the maze.
4.
The title and pictures should reflect the theme.
5.
Under the title type “Created by Your Name.”
6.
Merge cells and insert at least 3 cliparts, wordart or pictures,
but not more than 4 in the maze. (use format, picture, layout, in front of
text) Each clipart/picture is limited to
4 contiguous cells.
7.
Create a path between Start and End by using the
border icons to remove cell walls. You
may use diagonal lines and line thicknesses to enhance the looks of your table.
8.
Be sure to have some “dead ends” in the maze as
well as a complete path from Start to End.
9.
Print the maze and have a classmate test it for
you. If okay, print a clean copy.
10.
Please keep this school appropriate. They may be given to the elementary teachers
for end-of-year puzzles for their students.
