It is a great day for you! It is election time and your group has decided to have one of you run for Student Council President. Which one of you will it be? It is a great honor and privilege just to be nominated. However, only the best candidate will be elected Student Council President. You must pursued your peers to vote for you or your candidate. If elected you will have a great deal of power, fame and notoriety in your school. As president you will work closely with students, teachers and administration.

You will need to point out reasons that you will be the "best choice" for president. You are the one that everyone should vote for. Where do you stand on certain issues such as:

Have fun and be creative with this assignment. You can either take a serious, competitive, negative, positive or fun aspect to this commercial. Remember that if you take a negative aspect and trash your opponents, you may lose votes or you could show that you are the better candidate.

There will be several candidates running for this office. You will work in groups of two to four. Since this is a large class, you will need to work together productively and quietly. It would be a good idea to Google the responsibilities of the Student Council President and adjust them to your needs. You must create a written storyboard before you ever start this project. The commercial should follow the story board. You will create a story board in order to stay focused and have a direction with your project. This must be a group effort.
