MULTIMEDIA PROJECT: FABULOUS FIGHT SCENES—45 pts (recorded as 100%)

Group Members: _____________________________________ Name of Film: ___________________

Basic Rules:

Requirement Um, not so hot (03) B movie, but okay (4) Rad Action Film! (5)
Scene tells a story Just fighting; no background or emotion Fighting is not great, but there is at least a known plot Fighting it tied in emotionally and tells a specific story; establishing shot used to start scene
Quality of Acting Actors really need some motivation; low enthusiasm or little personality Actors tried, but skills were lacking Lots of personality, enthusiasm, and excitement…would want to watch them again
Camera Movement (pan, tilt, dolly, handheld, crane, zoom) Cruddy camera movement, and shaky shooting Tripod is used and camera is steady, camera movement is not used creatively Tripod is used for most shots, camera movement is used at times (dolly/truck) creatively
Variety of Camera Angles (birdseye, high, eye level, low, canted) So, yeah, I felt like I was just in the audiencenot close up…not cool movie stuff…just drab Decent job of making me feel like I was “inthe scene; would have liked more variety Rocking combination of LS, MS, CU, and ECU with particular attention to CU and ECU
Continuity Cutawayss are not used or are used and are not timed properly to show the energy and intensity of the scene For the most part, continuity is maintained; small issues or minor errors are noted Continuity is excellent; if a punch begins, the entire sequence looks real and the camera angles help maintain continuous action; cutaways used for buffers and to create interest
Overall appeal **yawn** or maybe this just looks like you threw it together and didn’t really make much effort Pretty good stuff at times, but some issues that would have made it much better WOW. I mean, WOW! Sound effects, action, what more could I ask for?
Storyboard ***ATTACH Has the basicspicture…words…but not useful in production process Storyboard is complete with noted angles, but could have been more thorough Storyboard is useful for production and is thorough—if I handed it to another group to film, they could do it (and includes spoken words)
Final Movie/Storyboard Storyboard does not match final movie produced, or does but not much Storyboard was used as a guide but not as the “rulefor production Final movie matches storyboard with very little variation
Edited—Exported and Uploaded Properly Film has glitches in editing or is not exported properly Film is exported and viewable, but some minor editing issues Edited properly and exported to Adobe Media Encoder (WMV) format, and uploaded to SchoolTube account
