Photoshop Assignment 17- "Adding Color to an Image"

Skills Demonstrated: Selections (by paint bucket), eraser (magic eraser)

  1. Open Bulldog_Mascot.jpg (Path: MacServer/Students/Photoshop CS3)
    1. Save it in your Photoshop Folder as Bulldog_Mascot_Colored_Yourname.jpg
    2. Click OK
    3. We will fill the coloring together. You will need to make sure that coloring is set to default.
    4. We will fill it out together.
    5. You will need to add a background color also.
    6. Add your name in a readable type font in the upper right corner, rotated.
  2. After I have checked your assignment, you are to find another image of your choice that is black and white and fill it with color. Make sure you use a large image size of
    1. You will save it in your Photoshop folder as Color_Fill_Yourname.

  3. Final Color Assignment: You will find a black and white image that you will fill in and add a picture of you.
    1. You will start a new blank image
      1. Name it Color_Fill_With_Me_Yourname
      2. Size will be 8.5 inch width, 11 inch height
      3. Resolution 150
      4. Click OK
    2. You will use the black and white image that you chose and then you will add a picture of you that compliments your cartoon character. You may need to take another picture so that the pose is what you need.
    3. You will also need to add a text layer with your name anywhere on it. It needs to be warped or rotated or both. :)

There are three total assignments here:

  1. The first one will be completed together and is worth 20 points.
