iWeb Assignment 1

You will be using iWeb to create a website about you highlighting your area of expertise. Your website should include the follwoing web pages:

1. Homepage
2. My Expertise ie. basketball, sports, tutoring, . . . .

Task: Create a website offering services in your area of expertise. This should be somewhat factual—find something you are good at and go with it! Ideas: tutoring academic subjects, mastering a particular video game, playing an instrument, doing an activity/sport, hobbies (deer hunting, sewing, etc.). This site will consist of two webpages—home page and your area of expertise. Your site should incorporate real photographs of yourself and your hobbies (if computer related, you may use screenshots from the
computer). All photos should be resized in Photoshop before being inserted onto the webpage (see instructions below).

Image Requirements: One photo of yourself used on your homepage and at least one photo of you on your qualifications page.

Resizing a Photo in Photoshop:

1. Open your image in Photoshop
2. Go to File
3. Click Save for Web & Devices
4. Select the image tab on the righthand side
5. Reduce image size to 50%
6. Click apply
7. See if this fits the loading time and image size that you would like to have.
8. Select the image you want to save and click save.
9. When it pops up the Save As dialog box put web on the end of the file name so that you know that it is the picture with the smaller file size.
   File name example: Susan_Mug_Shot.jpg save as Susan_Mug_Shot_web.tiff
