Rules and Regulations

To be eligible to sell on Sew Young, you must meet the following requirements:

Be a resident of the United States and be between the ages of 8 and 18.

If you meet these requirements, you may apply to Sew Young starting on the first day of the year to the last day of October. A total of 5 entrepreneurs will be selected to sell for one year. If the application is submitted within this time frame, it will be considered for the next set of entrepreneurs. Any applications submitted after this timeframe will be considered for the next years set. The chosen 5 will be notified through email during November of that year and should begin submitting pictures and information about their products as soon as possible in order for Sew Young to make website changes. If you are one of the five, you may apply to sell again as many times as your age allows.

Because Sew Young provides your child with such exclusive advertising and a safe way to sell through PayPal, a 17.9% fee will be taken plus $0.30 per each transaction. The remaining profit will be the entrepreneurs.

Because this is a website built exclusively for young entrepreneurs, we ask that the parent help with the entrepreneurs business, but let he or she take on most of the responsibility that comes with operating a business. This ensures they are learning from this special opportunity.

All products sold on Sew Young must be the work of the entrepreneurs and copyright laws must be followed. A warning will be given the first time a copyright law is broken and any proceeding will result in a ban.
