Spreadsheet Review

My Christmas list

Excel Review:

In Microsoft Excel, create a spreadsheet that will list all of the things you want for Christmas (you must have at least 10 items – you can have more than 10 but don’t go overboard).

Your spreadsheet should have a title plus the following columns:

  1. Item
  2. Description – can include title or color or size or any other necessary identifier
  3. Location (Where to buy the item – may be store or website)
  4. Need vs. Want (Type “Need” or “Want”. Then use conditional formatting to fill the cell red if it is a “need” and green if it is a “want”.)
  5. Price - no one item can cost over $300
  6. You must format the worksheet using all of the formatting techniques you have used this semester (or in the past) in Excel (Make the title bold, larger font, change the fonts in the spreadsheet, use borders or shading, etc.)
  7. Create a row called Total, and enter a formula to total the Price column.
  8. Put your name, date, assignment the header
  9. Save as: Christmas List Yourname
  10. Print once without formulas and once with formulas. (Ctrl`)
  11. Be sure to fit to one page – may need to landscape too.
  12. Do not print until I approve print job.

PowerPoint/Keynote Review:

  1. Create a presentation for Santa to help him see exactly what you want!
  2. Save as Christmas_Wish_List_Presentation_Yourname
  3. Include pictures and descriptions.
  4. Give him the price of the item and the store to purchase it from too.
  5. Impress him with what you have learned this semester.
  6. Use your first name as the Title and “Christmas List” as the description.
  7. You must have at least 12 slides. In intro and conclusion and one slide for each item.
  8. You will be presenting these.
