Teacher Appreciation Sign

American Education Week—November 14-18, 2016—presents all Americans with a wonderful opportunity to celebrate public education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that every child receives a quality education. This year’s theme is "Great Public Schools: A Basic Right and Our Responsibility."

Your assignment is to create a "Teacher Appreciation" sign for our faculty here at T-A. You can search for ideas on-line. You are required to have the following:

  1. (10 points) New document titled Teacher_Appreciation_YourName
    • Width of 8.5
    • Height of 11
    • Resolution of 150
    • You are to chose a white or transparent background.
    • Save in your Photoshop folder as: Teacher_Appreciation_YourName
  2. (40 points) You are to be creative with this assignment. I am not asking you to reinvent the wheel, you can steal ideas from on-line. However, your sign should have:
    • Minimum of two fonts - don't forget about dafont.com.
    • Use the words Appreciate or Thank You
    • An image of some sort
    • A line at the bottom that says "by YourName and Grade" in a 12 point font. ie.
      • By Jane Doe, Senior
      • By Senior, John Doe
    • We will be printing these, so I do not want a dark background color.
  3. (5 points) You are to print on card stock, after getting teacher approval, and hang in the hall.
  4. (5 points) This is due at the end of the hour.
  5. Total of 60 points
