Monday, Jan 15th – School in session 1st makeup day
Tuesday, Jan 16th – Quiz bowl practice; High School basketball at Grundy County, bus leaves at 4:00, game at 6:00
Thursday, Jan 18th – High School basketball vs Southwest, 6:00; Jumping Jitterbugs practice after school; After school reading club for 2nd & 3rd grade
Friday, Jan 19th – ASVAB interpretation for Juniors 11:00 in the library; High School basketball at Orrick, bus leaves at 4:00; game at 6:00

School board election closing date to file is January 16, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.

5th & 6th grade girls basketball practice will be in T-A’s gym at 4:30-5:30 Sunday, January 14th. Coaches are Larry Jones and Clint Hussey.

5th & 6th grade boys basketball practice will be in T-A’s gym at 5:30 – 6:30 Sunday, January 14th. Coaches are Russell Sturgeon and Brandon Singer.

Still looking for a volunteer for cheerleading; please let us know if you are interested. Typically just need someone to supervise, the JH or Varsity cheerleaders usually are used to help girls learn cheers.

March 6th is a home game against Braymer
March 8th game is cancelled due to parent teacher conferences.

-Any tutors from 1st semester need to turn in their logs to Mrs. Scott.

40 miles: Brody Sprouse, Max Harkins

*Game that was cancelled on January 11th due to weather against Norborne was re-scheduled for February 1st.

 

**Attention Area Farmers – Nominate Tina-Avalon School for A Rural Education Grant
Tina-Avalon School needs area farmers to nominate the school so we may apply for a grant of $10,000 or $25,000.
The nomination process is simple. Eligible farmers (actively engaged in farming a minimum of 250 acres of any crop) fill out a short nomination form at www.GrowRuralEducation.com or by calling 1-877-267-3332.
A paper copy of the nomination form and rules can be printed at www.GrowRuralEducation.com or requested by mail at 1-877-267-3332.
